Turabian term paper

What is a Turabian term paper? A Turabian term paper is based on the Turabian style. The Turabian style is basically a simplified guide of the Chicago Manual of Style.  A Turabian term paper style was developed for undergraduate students to use when writing any type of term or research paper. Meaning, a Turabian term paper can be assigned for any subject from literature to science. The style is rather new and continues to go through an evolution.

Here are some notes to keep in mind while writing a Turabian term paper.  Currently, there are two different Turabian term paper styles because the previous version has been revised by institution, but this new format has not officially been printed.  If you are writing a Turabian term paper, it is urged that you discuss with your professor his or her preference. 

Each source used throughout your Turabian term paper has its own rules for documentation. This is not to make your life harder but to make it clearer for your reader to verify all of the facts stated in the Turabian term paper. For example, website sources within the Turabian term paper bibliography page should include the date the page was updated, as well as the date you viewed the page. With technology constantly changing, this is an important fact for the reader to know. Another important thing to note is that encyclopedia articles should be noted in the actual article with a reference in the bibliography contained within parenthesis.

As you can see there are several factors here and there to consider when writing a Turabian term paper. After you have discussed the format with your instructor, you should also refer to the Turabian term paper style manual for clarification. Good luck with your paper.
