Analytical research paper

An analytical research paper is an interesting type of research paper, as you do not have any conclusions formed at its beginning.  The writer will have to use the information already available; after you become familiar with the topic, choose one for your analytical research paper.  You will need to evaluate your sources through careful reading and critical thinking. It is at the end of your analytical research paper that you should form your own conclusions based on the analysis of the chosen topic.

An analytical research paper uses critical thinking and critical thinking covers a lot of material.  In the case of an analytical research paper critical thinking refers to not accepting any solution just because it is presented in a source. You must maintain objectivity during reading. Some may consider this to be to skeptic - just because a statement is written down does not make it true. You must incorporate the evidence for that statement or point of view. It is the analysis of this information that will appear in your analytical research paper, not any of your original knowledge on the subject.

It does not matter what your knowledge or skill level is, you can analyze almost any topic. An analytical research paper can cover almost any topic as long as there are sufficient sources available. This type of critical thinking can be difficult for an analytical research paper as most papers you will already have some expected conclusion, which you will prove correct or incorrect. Keeping your objectivity until all information has been investigated can be hard as we are constantly processing information and forming conclusions from that information. These conclusions can change frequently but in your analytical research paper you must present your final conclusions and ignore any conclusion changes you might have had while researching.
